6 to 8

Six figures enter, they've come to destroy the world. They've called together this storm almost every night. I awake in another place. A familiar voice with a stranger's face speaks more unheard words. What new friends will the day bring? One for one thousand acquainted. What new home will the night bring? When it all comes down you just throw the bones. On the way I saw five hours of sleep but your fire makes it all worth while. On the way I wrote words for you to keep. On the way, I saw myself. Lost myself along the way.

6 to 8 is about touring. The six figures is probably put in intentionally to mislead but I believe that this refers to – Dave, Jade, Hunter, Adam, Smith, and Jake (Fritch). The song focuses on the reasons that the band write music; to have fun and make others happy, ‘your fire makes it all worth while’. I think ‘I saw myself’ refers to how Davey sees a little bit of himself in the kids who go to the shows perhaps and ‘lost myself’ could mean that playing in AFI gives him a chance to leave his other life behind.

First off, I would like to say that (at least in BSIS and AOD) that Davey doesn't necessarily write from his own perspective, but from the third person. He may be the writer, but not necessarily the narrator. Six figures enter; they've come to destroy the world. - A few people in general, but not to many, come together and torment me. "World" refers to the world of the narrator. They've called together this storm almost every night. - Almost all the pain I feel, is from these people. I awake in another place. - They hurt me so bad, when I wake it feels as if it is in a different place -- distortion. A familiar voice with a stranger's face speaks more unheard words. - Same pain, different attacker. What new friends will the day bring? One for one thousand acquainted. - I thought these people who hurt me were my friends. So many people I meet seem nice and caring at first... but it is very rare to actually find a real friend. What new home will the night bring? When it all comes down you just throw the bones. - Where will I end up? You don't care, all you care to do is hurt me (eg. throwing the bones). On the way I saw five hours of sleep but your fire makes it all worthwhile. - On the way to where I want to be (not a physical location, but a status in life), I was drained of energy, 5 hours of sleep instead of the recommended 8. But since you are here, the pain you give me revitalizes me. On the way I wrote words for you to keep. - I am still on the way to where I want to be, I am almost there. I want you to know how you hurt me, these words I want you to remember. On the way, I saw myself. Lost myself along the way. - As I wrote those words, I realized something. I realized that I am not perfect, and I have done these things to someone else. I completely lost myself. I hurt another.

I disagree with your theory some say its about touring and I kinda agree with that .....But I think its about other people he feels sorry for cause he stills there credit and that its about them touring meeting new friends and waking up in different places all the time...the six figures that enter that destroy the world is the people he feels deserves the credit... its about both touring and credit I believe
